Dressers sold at Target due to tipping over or collapsing

Target is recalling about 175,000 Room Essentials 4-drawer dressers, which can tip over and trap children if not properly anchored to the wall. "The dressers measure 41-7/8" tall by 31-½" wide by 15-11/16" deep.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has advised consumers to immediately stop using any recalled dresser not anchored to the wall and put in in an area that children can not access.

While the US agency reports 12 have tipped, it adds that no injuries have been reported. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled dressers could tip over and pose an entrapment hazard that could result in death or injuries to children. Model number 249-05-0103 (black), 249-05-0106 (espresso), or 249-05-0109 (maple) is printed on the product's packaging.

Target is offering a full refund for the dressers.

The dressers were sold at around $118 across the nation in Target stores and online between January 2013 and April 2016.
