Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana has been delayed

It's usually never a good sign when a game gets delayed so close to launch with no ETA on release, but it'll be worth it if the final product shakes up OK. But if that's the case (there's no evidence yet), there's a simple way around it. Ys VIII is being sold on GOG as well. The company says that some setbacks were encountered with the PC version, and that they will continue their efforts to "improve gameplay quality". If you pre-purchased the game from a digital retailer that isn't Steam, NIS will still grant the refund; you'll just need to contact the appropriate marketplace for assistance.

"We sincerely apologize to our fans who have been looking forward to this release", reads the post. The statement seems to back that up, saying "Ultimately, our goal is for fans to enjoy a high-quality game".
