ACC announces 2017-18 basketball schedule

Conveniently that was made possible by an official ACC Press Release detailing the juicy details of the new schedule.

Consecutive home games against perennial powers North Carolina and Louisville highlight Notre Dame's 2017-18 men's basketball schedule.

The Tar Heels, last year's NCAA tournament champions, come to Purcell Pavilion on January 13.

Duke will open ACC play on the road on December 9 when it travels to Chestnut Hill, Mass., to visit Boston College (noon ET, ESPN). The Irish are at North Carolina on February 12.

Four of the seven active Division I coaches that have been selected for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame will again compete in the ACC this season - Duke's Mike Krzyzewski, Louisville's Rick Pitino, North Carolina's Roy Williams and Syracuse's Jim Boeheim.

The regular season begins on November 11 at DePaul to open Wintrust Arena.

Including a pair of exhibition games against intrastate teams, 10 of the Cardinals' first 11 games will be played at home in the KFC Yum! Notre Dame is at Michigan State on November 30 as part of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. Center. The Cardinals will also play home games against Bryant (Dec. 11, ESPNU) and Albany (Dec. 20, ESPNU) in the event with a Dec. 16 game against Memphis in Madison Square Garden as the featured game in the Gotham Classic (ESPN2). The 65th annual event opens with three first-round games on Tuesday, March 6, and culminates with the Saturday night championship game on March 10.

ACC teams are scheduled to play 52 non-conference games this season against opponents that reached postseason play in 2017, including 29 games against NCAA Tournament teams.

The ACC tournament is March 6-10 in Brooklyn.
