Arsenal are preparing themselves to fend off the interests of both Manchester United and Juventus, as the two clubs look set to battle it out to secure the services of talented youngster Marcus McGuane.

Now, the 18-year-old is playing in Arsenal's Under-23s side... and has been turning some very impressive heads.

As reported by the Independent, Juventus are now in pole position to sign the highly-rated Englishman, but will face stiff competition from Manchester United in their quest to sign the player.

The England U17 global has been with Arsenal since the age of six.

United, on the other hand, have demonstrated over the years - especially on the final day of last season - that youth runs through the club's veins in a way that no other club can really replicate, leaving McGuane with a hard stick or twist decision to make over his future.

As well as City, United and Juve, a host of Championship clubs and even Napoli are casting their eye over the versatile star.

However, further reports this afternoon suggest that Arsene Wenger may choose to fast-track the route of the starlet into his first-team squad this season, in an attempt to convince McGuane to stay put.

The highly-rated midfielder has entered into the past year of his deal at the Emirates which has led to a number of top European club's monitoring his contract situation in north London.
