The 22 play-off winners join the 16 automatic qualifiers and 10 losing teams from the UEFA Champions League play-offs to make up the 48 teams who will be drawn in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Napoli secured a second leg 2 - 0 win over French side Nice to progress 4 - 0 on aggregate while Olympiacos progressed 3 - 1 on aggregate after securing a 1 - 0 second leg win at Rijeka. "We are happy with the qualification", said Insigne.

Sevilla ultimately held on to guarantee their place in the group stages of Europe's elite club competition for a third straight season.

But any nerves from Sevilla subsided when they levelled seven minutes after the restart as Escudero headed home from Jesus Navas' inviting cross to the far post.

Despite their 4-3 defeat away, Celtic also made it through earlier on Tuesday with an 8-4 aggregate victory over Astana.

Scott Sinclair equalised for them in the 33rd minute but Serikzhan Muzhikov and Patrick Twumasi (2) put the hosts 4-1 up with 20 minutes still to play. Marko Marin scored the game's only goal on Tuesday evening.

Maribor of Slovenia also progressed, beating Hapoel Beer-Sheva 1-0 with a Mitja Viler strike as they won the tie on away goals.

But Basaksehir's last-minute heroics were not enough as Sevilla managed to draw 2-2 and move on to the group stages.
