Royal Caribbean says the Welsh singer will be backed on the power ballad by Joe Jonas' band DNCE for a performance in an outdoor theater on its ship Oasis of the Seas as part of a "Total Eclipse Cruise".

USA pop band DNCE will also be part of the exclusive concert in the ship's signature outdoor AquaTheater.

Royal Caribbean is offering a cruise with an "iconic view" of the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse Monday, Aug. 21, and Bonnie Tyler, naturally, will sing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" for guests onboard.

A total solar eclipse hasn't crossed the entire USA since 1918, and with many of our ships sailing to the Caribbean along the projected path, the stars aligned.

The eclipse is set to last for two minutes and 40 seconds, half the length of the opulent pop song which Tyler will have to cut in time for the occasion. Not only this, the cruise has planned elaborate eclipse-themed activities for the passengers that include dance parties, lectures, games for children, cocktails, dishes and much more.

Total eclipses are rare, and therefore pretty exciting events, prompting people to go outside and witness the sky turning pitch black for a fleeting moment. She also said that when she had sung the song for the first time she had never thought that it would play on the radio someday. For those who do not know, the song was written by Jim Steinman and it was released in 1983 to huge applause from the critics as well as the audiences across the world.
