The video contains a bezel-less smartphone along with the text that reads Mi Mix 2 conceptual product design.

This theory gains more weight taking into consideration Phillippe Starck recently posted a concept video for the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and we believe there's a very good chance this is how the phone will actually look like when it makes a debut a few months from now. So it was quite evident that he would be designing the Mi Mix 2 as well. While the cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology replaces the regular earpiece, the IR proximity sensor is replaced with the ultrasonic proximity sensor.

The design brain behind the Mi MIX Philippe Starck has accepted the invitation to design the next Mi MIX as well, in fact, the device has already gone through the design phase and in line for the mass production.

The Mi Mix 2 will have two SIM card slots with Dual Standby and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with MIUI 9 on top of it. The display is said to have a higher screen-to-body ratio of 93% and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

A French designer named Phillippe Starck has just posted a video on his Facebook profile. The bezel at the top is nearly zero while below there's a slight bar housing the selfie camera.

An alleged screenshot that shows the Mi Mix 2 lockscreen in action is doing the rounds of the Internet, seemingly confirming the phone may come with facial recognition as a means to unlock the device. With the curved edges and rounded corners, the Mi MIX 2 looks gorgeous.

The 40-second clip showcases the designer's groundbreaking vision for a handset free of "notches", ample chins or other compromises of a similar nature.

The bottom end is seen carrying a USB-C port in the middle and a pair of external speakers towards its right. The Mi Mix introduced us to the bezel less design. The smartphone has scored 1929 points in single-core test and 6431 points in the multi-core test. The smartphone is likely to sport a 12-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. With all these specifications, the Mi MIX 2 might come powered by a 4,500mAh battery.
