Porn Site XHamster Wants To Produce Sense8 Season 3

XHamster, a pornographic video site, posted an open letter (warning, link goes to a NSFW site, though the linked page features no pornographic content) to Sense8 creators Lana and Lilly Wachowski offering to produce the third season given that they now host "one of the most trafficked sites on the Internet".

Following news that creator Lana Wachowski was writing the third season of the Netflix series, it appears there may be an unlikely home for it after all. "We know that a show about polymorphous perversity is a hard sell for a mainstream network like Netflix". Sense8's fanbase is so passionate that it managed to convince Netflix to bring the series back for a two-hour special that will air in 2018, though the streamer has announced no plans to continue the show beyond that.

After hearing the announcement, PAPER immediately reached out to Alex Hawkins to hear more about his (and the rest of the xHamster team's) ideas for the show.

"In short, we are a we", he mentioned, calling back to a central theme from the show. Unlike with Netflix, you wouldn't be competing for part of our production budget - it would be yours. "We have no such limitations, and also understand implicity (sic) the interconnectedness of sexualities across boundaries".

"[We] continue to use our audience to speak up against repressive anti-LGBTQ laws in the USA and overseas, and for sex ed in public schools, Planned Parenthood and the rights of sex workers", Hawkins continued.

Just a few years ago, people couldn't digest that Netflix, a streaming service, could produce House of Cards. The in-site fandom and legitimate dedication to making such a project work is apparent, and admittedly, xHamster's two biggest selling points - money and open-mindedness - are exactly what a show like Sense8 needs. "We think that our time, like yours, has come". Unlike Pornhub or PornMD, xHamster doesn't filter out images of non-consent (or, you know, rape).

Sense8 moving to xHamster would be an unprecedented move, and while we can't imagine many people would be as comfortable with going to a porn site to watch the new episodes as they would be with visiting Netflix, it would at least give fans the season 3 they've been hoping for. There's no way the Wachowskis would sign over production of their series to a site that boasts videos tagged "chicks with dicks".
