Google fixes the issue with Voice Assistant on Android Wear

The issue with the Google Assistant that have been reported by users is that it is incapable of performing tasks other than carrying out basic internet searches. Besides the problem with Google Assistant, Android Wear is having other issues including the appearance of incomplete characters on the screen after being tapped on the keyboard.

Google Assistant, which has replaced Google Now on the latest Android Wear, simply redirects users to a web search, its default behavior when it doesn't understand your command or has no actions associated with it. This morning I noticed that the Google app updated on the watch, and now it's broken again. It's nearly as if it has completely forgotten everything it knew. Actually, the virtual assistant will still run very simple Google searches.

If we're being completely honest, it's not been the best of years for Android Wear, despite the long-awaited arrival of Android Wear 2.0 - a delayed roll-out and a lack of flagship smartwatch launches means Google's wrist-based OS is lagging behind the Apple Watch. Google immediately responded to this.

And that's not the only problem such users have to contend with. Users have had a problem that caused the recurring reminders to be marked as completed.

Google has stated that it is aware of the current issues and is working on fixing them.

Hopefully the Android Wear team gets this resolved quickly, as this can be rather inconvenient to owners who heavily rely on their smartwatches.
