The Tottenham manager has stated that he could deploy 20-year-old Kyle Walker-Peters at right-back if he goes with a back-four, or use Sissoko as a wing-back, meaning that the France worldwide midfielder could start against his former club Newcastle in a somewhat unusual position for him.

Kane will register his 100th goal for the club if he scores in Sunday's Premier League match at Newcastle, a milestone he will have reached in 166 games.

Pochettino has however reminded Rose that some of Tottenham's most successful players were signed by the club while still relatively unknown.

"It's a massive achievement".

"I think the team are very united. You want to be positive and ready to go". He's a fantastic professional.

England worldwide Rose was forced to apologise to the club in a statement published shortly before Pochettino's pre-season press conference, after he gave an interview in which he attacked Tottenham's rigid pay structure and careful transfer strategy.

It is understood that Chelsea target Rose has been fined two weeks' wages - a sum in the region of £135,000 - for his comments and Pochettino insists the defender's apology has brought the matter to a close.

Pochettino, however, insists Tottenham will keep faith in their approach in the belief it will be rewarded.

In spite of what many fans would perceive as being an unsettling level of greed on Rose's behalf, the added incentive of wanting to win trophies as a player is also driving the full-back Sadlier believes.

"I'm not anxious", he said.

Pochettino, though, retains full faith in those already at his disposal and says he would rather triumph through careful tinkering than by attempting to buy success. I am so competitive.

"We've had one season in the Championship, which everyone enjoyed because we won a lot of games and got that winning mentality back".

"When you see our philosophy and the way we work, it's so exciting". If we cannot, (then we'll get) another one and make sure they can give us something different.

"We are unique and try to be strong and have no doubt when people are doubting about us". We are so calm.
