"We have more experience of working together than we had last season".

That is why Mourinho is warning his title rivals that he is back to his best as a boss, three seasons after winning the Premier League and getting sacked by Chelsea.

"I think Manchester United will win the Premier League because Mourinho has never failed in a second season".

However, Mourinho added that one key factor to their title charge at Old Trafford will sharing the scoring load amongst numerous players, as was the case at his previous clubs, and hopes the onus will not be left exclusively on the shoulders of new striker Rolmelu Lukaku.

"What would it mean for me to be the Premier League champion? If that is going to mean better results and the title, I don't know".

Manchester United begin their bid to be genuine Premier League title contenders tomorrow, when they face West Ham knowing that an improvement in home form is vital.

"The only thing I have to do is work every day like I always do, the only demand on me is the one I put on myself", Mourinho said. I just think the competition can be better than ever'.

"In my initial analysis from January and through the months I was thinking of four players but I'm not a hard person to work with in spite of if you make it look different", said Mourinho, ahead of United's Premier League opener against West Ham, live on Sky Sports Premier League on Sunday.

"I don't think I am going to win it because I always win it in the second season". I prefer the Mourinho in the dressing room, he's friendlier.

Those reasons for excitement include the arrival of striker Romelu Lukaku for £75 million (S$132 million) from Everton, Chelsea's Serbia midfielder Nemanja Matic (£40 million) and Sweden defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica (£30 million).

However, Mourinho has lost a number of key players to long-term injury, including defenders Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw, and wing-back Ashley Young. After a first season of transition, Mourinho must stamp his authority on this team and is under a lot of pressure to deliver the coveted Premier League title.

'I think every one of us in his own way is equipped to do it. The top seven, we are all in Europe.

Mourinho says he is after another player "coming from the sides" to complete his summer business - leaving the door open for either a winger or a full-back.

"This time, we are all in the same basket".

"I am happy with the effort the club did and that the club managed to do 75 percent of the work before the Premier League starts and until August 31".
