There are two things in this world that Jack White seems to love above everything else: vinyl records and baseball. Today, the Third Man Record boss announced that he was going to release a brand new single from a group called the Dugouts titled "Strike Out".

A portion of the ticket package sales will be donated to the Kirk Gibson Foundation and the Ilitch-run Detroit Tigers Foundation.

On the other side of the vinyl single is an interview conducted by White with Tigers fan-favorite Kirk Gibson. Cut at Third Man's Nashville studio, "Strike Out" was inspired by the old urban schoolyard game of the same name, which Blackwell says his dad played in southwest Detroit.

Cover images for the new Tigers record were shot by pitcher Daniel Norris, a hobbyist photographer whose work has gained growing attention. Those who buy tickets to the team's August 24 match against their rivals the Minnesota Twins will be eligible to purchase the new record, which is being released in partnership White's Third Man Records.
