J&K: Terrorists attack Army camp in Kupwara, jawan injured

In case of terrorists, the armed forces can engage them in direct combat, but it case of stone-pelters they have to practice considerable restraint. In what is being touted as a boost to the anti-terror fight in Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian Army has proposed to build indigenous robots that are created to deliver ammunition at targeted locations, according to a report.

He added that terrorists are finding it hard to infiltrate into India due to the domination of Indian forces on the Line of Control and the global border.

Jaitley said in the 1990s, they started changing their strategies and resorted to encouraging terrorism inside the country.

Commenting on India's defence production, Jaitley said his government was committed to bolstering domestic production for the defense sector.

Jaitley, who is also the Finance Minister, said that in next year's Budget, his topmost priorities will be - national security and rural India.

The Army made the request to the Ministry of Defence following an increase in the number of terrorists in the state.

"Can you imagine Indiraji (Gandhi) or Rajiv Gandhi or Narasimha Rao supporting such a move by any Congress leader?" he asked.
