"Today, I am asking District Attorney Paul Howard and his investigative officers and prosecutors to fully review the report of the John Creek Police and follow every lead - no matter where it leads, or who it implicates, and bring those persons to swift justice", Eaves stated. The story cited several named and unnamed sources who the author says were close to Kelly.

He said investigators had uncovered new information surrounding the allegations against Kelly that "severely raised the level of concern".

R. Kelly speaks to CNN on May 14, 2015. But even if he doesn't, the publicity will still serve him well.

Fulton County Chairman John Eaves held an emergency news conference on Friday, calling for a full criminal investigation by the Fulton County District Attorney's Office into allegations of recording artist R. Kelly allegedly sexually exploiting and holding young girls and women against their will at his home in Johns Creek and elsewhere.

In a new statement sent to USA TODAY by Kelly's rep, Trevian Kutti, the singer said he is "outraged" by efforts of the county board and Eaves "to interfere with his business interests and now, absent any authority, attempt to have him targeted for investigation".

The parents of one 21-year-old woman, Joycelyn Savage, held a news conference in which they said that their daughter is "being held against her will" by Kelly. Savage's father Tim said that his daughter was "being held against her will" and the last time he saw her she was in "a disgusting condition". Jocelyn Savage responded with a pair of videos claiming that she's happy living under Kelly's tutelage. Wolf Creek Amphitheatre and Fulton County should not be vehicles through which R. Kelly can increase his notoriety, gloss over and normalize his behavior, and continue to profit and fund his crimes against women. The venue is owned by Fulton County but managed by LiveNation.

Several of Kelly's tour dates have been canceled following the bombshell report, and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners has already requested that Live Nation cancel one show scheduled August 25 in the area.
