Capcom's RPG has had quite a path since its inception on the previous generation of consoles in 2012. It's since been confirmed that the remaster is coming October 3rd. The price will be a rather affordable $29.99.

This version contains the original Dragon's Dogma along with all additional content from its expansion Dark Arisen, including the Bitterblack Isle area, filled with challenging new enemies and quests, and additional high level weapons and armour sets. After Dark Arisen was out for three years, a Windows port of the game released on PC. This new version of the game will release on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, featuring enhanced visuals for the more powerful consoles. Gameplay footage below showcases visuals from the base game as well as the expansion.

Like before, Dragon's Dogma lets you embark on a journey with at least one customizable companion and two others. A multitude of classes lets you decide how you fight and take down monsters. It also fixed much of the jankiness that kept a lot of people away from the game in the first place, making it far easier for new players to jump into.

A release date for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One was provided today by Capcom. What are your impressions of the remastered footage?
