An unnamed British man had only an hour to enjoy the brand new comfy seats of his new Ferrari before it burst into flames taking him off the road and into an open field.

South Yorkshire Police posted Twitter photos of the smoking, wrecked auto, saying it "went airborne [and] burst into flames" beside a highway in northern England.

The driver told police he collected the supercar just an hour ago, read the post.

South Yorkshire police said the driver suffered a few cuts and bruises, but was otherwise unscathed.

The police department tweeted photos of the wreck, saying it was "a miracle" the driver escaped from the crash relatively unscathed.

The man lost control of the high-end vehicle while driving on a wet road in South Yorkshire Thursday afternoon, according to South Yorkshire police.

Police urged motorists to exercise caution on the road after a number of crashes in the area over the past couple of weeks. "Please take more care!" they request in their Facebook post.

The 430 Scuderia can reach 60 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds and has a reported top speed of 198 miles per hour.
