Akshay Kumar on poor box office performance of Bollywood films

The movie revolves around the story of a couple who get separated instantly after marriage due to the absence of toilet in the house. She also added an incident where a girl defecated on her silk dress after being unable to stand in the long toilet queue during her hostel days, "That was the day that the seeds of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan were sown in my young heart". In rural India, people think if they have a kitchen or a temple in their house, they can't have a bathroom. He even got appreciation from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking such a good initiative.

Akshay told the media here: "Talks on toilet are still taboo in India".

"What can I say if he says he loves urinating in public?" But before the movie takes to the theatres, Twinkle Khanna brought her issues with the toilet upfront.

And that is the source and inspiration for this much-anticipated Akshay Kumar starrer.The film is inspired by the 2016 film Joker, which won the National award for best Tamil Film. "Then there is Hollywood, South films which also get grand release here, so more and more films will release together".
