DONE DEAL? Monaco agree Lemar transfer to Arsenal

The long awaited and much talked about summer transfer of the France global star Thomas Lemar to Arsenal has been agreed by his current club AS Monaco, with the French club only waiting to secure a replacement for the talented 21-year old before confirming it officially, according to the Italian football journalist Emiliano Giulianelli.

"We have kept all of the key players we meant to keep".

Arsenal have tied up deals for left-back Sead Kolasinac and striker Alexandre Lacazette so far this summer.

Speculation persists over Kylian Mbappe, who has been linked with a world-record move to Real Madrid.

This comes after Monaco vice-president, Vadim Vasilyev, insisted the player will be staying at the Principality.

Benjamin Mendy and Bernado Silva have both joined Manchester City in a near-£100million double deal and £40million Tiemoue Bakayoko has also been plundered, signing for Chelsea.

"Monaco's not for sale stance has been seen in some quarters as a way to encourage Arsenal to make a higher offer".

The French global caught the eye after enjoying a sensational campaign a year ago that saw him score 14 goals and provide 17 assists to help Monaco clinch the Ligue 1 title.

Leonardo Jardim's side are renewing their rivalry with PSG in this season's edition of the Trophee des Champions, which pits the champions and cup winners from the previous season against each other in a one-off match.

Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen to bolster his attacking options at The Emirates as the uncertainty about Alexis Sanchez's future continues.
