If paroled, the 70-year-old, who will appear at the hearing via video conference in front of four members of the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners, could walk free as early as October 1.

If you're interested in tuning into the parole hearing, there are plenty of ways to watch.

In addition to the 90-minute Outside the Lines, Hannah Storm will anchor a special edition of SportsCenter dedicated to the day's Simpson proceedings (ESPN, 7 p.m.).

The ex-cop generated controversy during the trial when he said he had never used the n-word, but audio of him saying the word was discovered.

Furhman, a Fox News contributor, pleaded no contest to perjury charges and was sentenced to three years' probation stemming from Simpson's 1995 trial. "The deliberations will not be public and the parole board will not be available for interviews after the hearing". Correspondents Cynthia McFadden and Joe Fryer are also scheduled to contribute reports from New York City and Lovelock, Nevada, respectively.

"The fascination with the life of this former football star, famous actor, and felon - has not waned in half a century", said Craig Bengtson, Vice President and Director of News. The victim in that case will apparently come to Lovelock to testify in Simpsons favor. The parole board will issue a decision on Thursday, and it will be streamed live thanks to all of the media attention.

At the same time, Simpson has reportedly been on his best behavior while behind bars, which gives him a strong chance of gaining parole, ABC News reports.
