The band was en route to a gig at the State Theater in St. Petersburg at the time of the accident.

In addition to his work with Adrenaline Mob, Zablidowsky was also the bassist for Trans Siberian Orchestra.

"Yesterday I was involved in an accident that took the life of my dear friend and bandmate David Z and left three of our crew in critical condition".

According to the Gainesville Sun, RV driver Jason McCloe, lead singer Russell Allen, sound man Rob Dressler, drummer Jordan Cannata, guitarist Mike Orlando, Janet Rains and Dale Campiglia were all seriously injured. And those in critical condition.

The band's RV pulled to the side of the road and was hit by a tractor trailer.

The RV burst into flames after the impact. A group of registered nurses from the University of Florida's Shands Hospital stopped to aid the victims. The FHP was still investigating late Friday night. "Thank you everyone. RIP David Z".

Known for his glam-rock look and stage presence, Zablidowsky toured with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and SOTO, and also worked as a children's entertainer.

The Brooklyn-born Zablidowsky brothers were profiled by the Daily News in 2009 and most recently in 2011, when they formed the Rock Asylum Foundation, an organization that provides free rock concerts to NY public schools in an effort to inspire children to succeed in their education.

"It is with great sadness that we have to cancel the Adrenaline Mob show scheduled for 7/21/17". A band spokeswoman told the Times that there would be an official statement next week. Six members of the party were traveling in an RV, while two were in a GMC Sierra that was pulling a covered trailer containing music equipment. The band has been plagued by tragedy, however. This is their second major accident as a band; in 2014 they were touring with Avenged Sevenfold when their van and gear were destroyed in a crash in New Hampshire.

Zablidowsky's death inspired social media tributes from past bandmates and notable heavy metal musicians including Dee Snider, Mike Portnoy, Zakk Wylde, Bret Michaels and Dave Navarro.
