Destiny 2: PS4 Players Time Almost Here

The Destiny 2 beta kicks off on PS4 and Xbox One next week, with first access going to PS4 pre-orders or early access codes.

Destiny 2 is one of the most anticipated games right now and it is scheduled to arrive in on September 6 this year. Live somewhere else? No worries.

Sadly you won't be able to use your character from Destiny nor will you be able to carry over any experience gathered in the beta so don't get too excited. No excuses for not having booked time off or planned a sickie!

I mean, we know the days, but we don't know the specific times that the beta will kick off. You should have plenty of opportunity to see and do everything in the initial offering by then. Whereas the beta for Destiny 1 gave fans a lot to do, Bungie had a lot more to test with that beta.

The beta will allow you to play through the opening mission of the campaign, while also offeirng up a cooperative Strike, as well as two PVP game modes in Control and Countdown. The Farm will be available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One beta players.

The timing of things is also flawless as September looks set to be the debut month for the upcoming Microsoft Xbox One X. The latter is Microsoft's answer to the PS4 Pro and it is also their attempt at a comeback in the current generation console wars. This is needed for the download to start, after which the system should automatically release the remaining space. Bungie is aware of the following problems, but you can report other issues to the developers through the Help forum found here. Since we know there will be no major updates to Destiny moving forward, this suggests Bungie is preparing its technology for the onslaught. While players can play most of the content when the beta officially launches tomorrow, users can only check out the new social space at a later date. Well, until now, that is, as we've finally gotten the lowdown as to when the beta will begin for certain players.

There's been some confusion around Destiny 2 beta codes.

If you pre-ordered Destiny 2 for PS4, you can access the servers at 10:00 AM PDT on Tuesday, July 18. If not, reach out to your retailer!
