Power doesn't think rain will be issue at Honda Indy Toronto

He said the only "problem" was that this win came at a track where he has previously won.

Virginia Motor Speedway: Justin Willliams captured his third win of the season, holding off Tyler Bare in the 35-lap Late Model feature race Saturday night at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica.

The Honda Indy Toronto is IndyCar's only global event, and the league's sole Canadian driver James Hinchcliffe will be looking to pick up his second win of the 2017 IndyCar season in front of his home crowd at Exhibition Place.

Helio Castroneves trails Dixon by three points after finishing eighth, Simon Pagenaud is 19 points behind Dixon after finishing fifth and Newgarden is 23 points behind. He won at the Grand Prix of Long Beach in April and finished third in the first of two races at the Detroit Grand Prix in June.

Marco Andretti was fourth, followed by pole-sitter Pagenaud, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Max Chilton, Castroneves, Rahal and series leader Dixon. He enters this weekend 12th in the driver standings. He is now a disappointing 16th in points and has had several incidents this season resulting in crashed race cars, mostly recently last week at Iowa while running in the top 5.

And although he says that race results matter more than poles, it's still a solid feeling to start from the front of the pack Sunday. Bottas is now 35 points behind the series-leading Vettel, with Lewis Hamilton - who failed to reach the podium last week - now 20 points back.The first Formula 1 World Championships race was held at Silverstone in 1950, won by Guiseppe Farina in an Alfa Romeo. Seven Canadian tracks have hosted Indy auto events since the first USAC event in 1967: Mosport, Mont Tremblant, Sanair, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto...

James Hinchcliffe, an Ontario native from nearby Oakville, finished third to the delight of the large crowd at Exhibition Place. Spencer Pigot won an Indy Lights race here in 2015. As a bonus, he will have started his sixth IndyCar race there (the Mid-Ohio 200) two weeks before the Xfinity Series arrives at the track. There are a lot of different pavement types and it's very slippery on the concrete, which is very similar to Detroit. It was his second win at Toronto over the past three seasons. It was a huge turnaround overnight by Andretti Autosport to get the vehicle where it needed to be for the race today. No less than four drivers ended up hitting the wall in Turn 11 previous year, so it seems the concerns weren't completely unfounded. The race begin at 3:00 PM EST tomorrow.
