PR for the game stated that it will have: "more than a dozen playable characters ripped from the pages of your favorite comics".

Marvel is looking to bring some of its most popular - and some of its more obscure - characters to virtual reality with Marvel Powers United VR, a cooperative adventure game where players team up to beat up a variety of enemies.

Disney has been busy showing us the future of its various franchises this weekend at the company's D23 Expo, that is taking place in Anaheim, California.

The first-person title will also feature four-person co-op play, where the heroes will fight against Marvel's villains.

Marvel Powers United VR will be coming to Oculus Rift. Transform into your favorite Marvel Super Hero and wield their fantastic powers and weaponry in your hands.

But in the meantime, we know what you want to see: A FPS HULK SMASH! As Rocket, you'll get to guns as you blast everything around you. They mention over on the official website that there will be "smart" "locomotion" implemented into the game, so you won't just teleport around. While the full roster has not been revealed as of yet, the trailer showcases Captain Marvel, Hulk, and Rocket Raccoon, each with their own distinct move sets. Captain Marvel sits at eye level unleashing speedy kicks and attacks. This time is designed for virtual reality helmets Oculus Rift and controllers Touch.

Powers United VR, an Oculus-exclusive, looks pretty similar to existing VR wave shooters like Robo Recall, though its multiplayer could spice things up a bit.
