The game will be arriving for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 early next year. Dragon Ball Fighter Z is a unique title due to the fact that it will be a 2D style game. The trailer featured Trunks engaged in battle against a few other popular Dragon Ball Z characters, namely Vegeta, Cell, and Frieza. It'll apparently include nine playable characters, and you'll be able to register for it starting from the 26th July.

The trailer reveals one of the most beloved characters of the series, Trunks.

Although it remains to be unofficial, the very own producer of the game named Tomoko Hiroki confirmed the possibility. Despite being revealed during Microsoft's press conference, Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to PC and PS4 as well as Xbox One.

Basically, Hiroki is saying that Bandai Namco will determine interest in Dragon Ball games on the Switch based on the success of Xenoverse 2, with the "fan demand" he discussed in a previous interview being measured by that game's sales. As far as the pronunciation, it is pronounced Dragon Ball FighterZ, so just pronounce it like you would with an S.

The three-on-three fighting game will feature Sparking Burst abilities that will function as the last resort for players who find themselves backed into a corner as well as beam struggles. There are plans for various changes to stages as matches go on but no plans to implement cross-play between platforms.
