After a call with SoundCloud CEO Alex Ljung, Chance The Rapper tweeted: "Just had a very fruitful call with Alex Ljung".

While SoundCloud's CEO Alexnder Ljung recently rejected the rumours that the music streaming service was running out of cash, rumours of the company's demise following massive layoffs have persisted. Producer group J.U.S.T.I.C.E League took to Twitter to reiterate some previous claims that Chance doesn't pay producers and question just how altruistic Chano's charitable efforts have been.

Earlier this week, SoundCloud executives revealed the company was struggling and and was forced to lay off over 40% of its workforce.

SoundCloud also told FACT that they will "continue to be confident the changes made last week put [them] on [their] path to profitability and ensure SoundCloud's long-term viability". Ljung definitively shut down that timeline, saying the company was not going away any time in the foreseeable future "Not in 50 days, not in 80 days or anytime in the foreseeable future".

The Grammy Award-winning rapper, whose hits include No Problem and Famous, surprised fans when he dropped new track Big B's on the troubled music streaming service. Your music is safe. The music you love on SoundCloud isn't going away, the music you shared or uploaded isn't going away, because SoundCloud is not going away. "@SoundCloud is here to stay", he tweeted. "@ an artist who you wouldn't know if not for SoundCloud", he wrote.

"Thank you for the outpouring of love and support".
