Biden will be in town for his American Promise Tour, during which he'll talk about his memoir "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose" (Flatiron, $27).

This fall, Vice President Joe Biden will travel the nation for his American Promise Tour, a series of conversations that will go beyond the 24-hour news cycle and 140-character arguments to connect friends and neighbors around the topics that matter most.

Biden's book, titled Promise Me, Dad, will be released on November 14.

The book's title comes from something Beau Biden said to his fatherat their last Thanksgiving together: "Promise me, Dad".

Vice President Biden says, "I have always been fortunate to have an incredible support system around me, and I understand how many people in this country go through far worse than I have, with far less support".

'It's that rare book by a politician that will truly have lasting resonance'.

The former US senator from DE and vice president under Barack Obama is scheduled to appear at the Michigan Theater on December 13 as part of his "American Promise Tour".

From there, he will spend nearly a month on the road traveling around the country. We're not entirely sure what this majestic man will be doing on this tour (promoting democracy? telling jokes? talking about becoming a meme?) but we are excited to find out.

"It's pretty special to have a vice president in the house", he said, adding that Proctors had been in touch with Biden's representatives for some time before recently receiving confirmation of his visit.

Biden has previously said he regrets not running for president, as he believes he could have won.
