€100m Chelsea striking target 'open' to AC Milan move

Arsenal made a move for the 23-year-old back in January, but saw their £56m bid rejected by the Serie A club.

Torino would happily take both players off Milan's hands, but want more than the €40m in cash they have offered, even demanding as much as €80m - though Milan are optimistic an agreeable compromise can be reach.

Belotti scored 26 league goals in 35 appearances last season, laying on another seven assists, and was only out-scored by Roma's Edin Dzeko and Napoli forward Dries Mertens.

Chelsea are still reeling after missing out on Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United and are no closer to finding a replacement for Diego Costa.

He is one of several top strikers now being linked with a move to Chelsea.

This is due to the fact that Belotti has reportedly informed his current club that he only wants Milan, and will wait out all other offers until a move to Vincenzo Montella's side materialises.

The addition of Belotti to their ranks could see them challenging for the Serie A title, a title they haven't won since 2010/11.

AC Milan are attempting to lure Andrea Belotti to the San Siro, and have offered Torino a sum of €40 million plus Gabriel Paletta.

Torino have also added fuel to the fire regarding Belotti's potential exit by leaving him out of the images releasing the clubs new kit.

Having already invested heavily ahead of the upcoming campaign in players such Leonardo Bonucci, Andre Silva and Andrea Conti, this fee may just be that bit too steep for Milan to stomach, but reports in Italy say negotiations are ongoing.
