Sevilla announced via social media that Nolito will arrive in Andalusia on Sunday before undergoing a medical ahead of signing a three-year deal with the club.

As a result, he's returning to La Liga, heading for Sevilla for a fairly modest 8 million euro transfer fee in what's expected to be a massive loss for City financially.

At the moment, the clubs are finishing the necessary paperwork and everything indicates that an official announcement will follow soon, with the Spain worldwide ready to reunite with his former Celta Vigo coach Eduardo Berizzo.

The Andalusian club are in the market for a new attacking wide player after Vitolo agreed a deal to a move to Atletico Madrid via a loan spell at Las Palmas.

"Sevilla and Manchester City have reached an agreement in principle, pending a medical and the signing of the contract, for the transfer of Nolito to the Seville side for the next three seasons", a statement on the club's official website confirmed.

Nolito had a promising start to life in England, but his time quickly soured, eventually only making 19 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals.

However, he made just one start for Pep Guardiola's side in the second half of the campaign.
