Kingdom Hearts III's Release Window Announced at D23, at Long Last

We're not sure when in 2018 Kingdom Hearts III will drop, but let's just hope we don't see it delayed for another year.

Kingdom Hearts III will debut in 2018, and it will include Pixar characters for the first time in the history of the video game franchise.

We don't know much more beyond that, of course. Kingdom Hearts 2 launched in 2005. Toy Story is the new world that has been revealed, alongside with it a new gameplay trailer.

The 2016 release of similarly missing-in-action, highly anticipated PlayStation games only stoked Kingdom Hearts' fanbase even further. Square Enix and Disney sought to change that in Kingdom Hearts 3 and based on the reaction during the stream, its inclusion is more than welcome. It's only appropriate that, since we can't get a new mainline game yet, at least we now know approximately when we'll be able to play it.

Additionally, the trailer showed off some footage of a Toy Story 3 world, featuring characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and a decidedly gorgeous outside environment.
