Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he's urging those above him to complete at least two more transfers before the window closes.

He has been linked with moves for Ivan Perisic, Eric Dier and Nemanja Matic as he searches for a new winger and a holding midfielder.

Rashford featured regularly for Manchester United last season, making 32 appearances in the Premier League, however he only managed five goals. I would not like to be in Ed Woodward's position of negotiation because everything is really hard. If that is for him to stay and for us to wait, let's say, until December maybe, because I don't think before December he can get back to competitive football. Matic has been given permission not to travel on Chelsea's pre-season tour.

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has already splashed out £110m on two new signings this summer, and he'll have another £100m+ available for additions.

'That has been more hard over the last few years, with some of the players who joined the club.

"We need more [players]", he said. We need more, we wanted four, so I would say 50 per cent of the job is done, but I don't want to say that because everything is so hard.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "United fans would love to see Zlatan back at Old Trafford and they've piled into his odds of being there next season".

"I can't say any word about a player who is a Chelsea player", Mourinho said. I've played with a few lads at club level and worldwide level and there is also some young lads. That obviously came from the manager, Sir Alex, when I went to United.

The Red Devils are in Los Angeles preparing to participate in the International Champions Cup, which starts on Saturday against LA Galaxy, before further games with Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
