Samsung Galaxy Note 8 turns up in hi-res render on Twitter

The volume of Galaxy Note 8 rumours and leaks has been steadily ramping up in recent weeks, which suggests that Samsung may be close to launching the device.

Samsung will officially unveil Galaxy Note 8 this month and phones are expected to be available in stores around August 23. If that's true - and the August debut is to be believed - then Samsung has nearly certainly finalised the design.

Like its predecessors, the Galaxy Note 8 looks set to incorporate a stylus to bring a slew of productivity-focused features to the phone.

Of course, there's no way for us to actually verify this image's legitimacy, so it's worth taking it with due caution.

Samsung is now offering a free Galaxy S8 when you buy one and trade in an eligible smartphone. There are three reasons why you should skip the Galaxy S8, and neither one is money-related.

The smartphone used in the photo has an Infinity Display which has even smaller bezels than the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

The images, which show third-party cases for the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, reveal a cut-out for the USB-C cable - and one for the headphones. It also applies to the T-Mobile versions of the Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. Samsung has listed out the eligible smartphones for trade-in (Galaxy Note5, S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, S7, S7 edge, iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 7 or 7 Plus devices only). That's why Samsung is now keen to generate some consumer confidence around the Note brand once more.
