At the Disney-run D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, the studio unveiled its first official look at director Ava DuVernay's upcoming A Wrinkle In Time film adaptation in the form of a teaser trailer.

Anticipation steadily grew as DuVernay and cast members like Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and even Oprah Winfrey released teases of the film's lovely New Zealand shooting locations and sang the praises of new star Storm Reid.

A Wrinkle In Time tesseracts its way into theaters on March 9, 2018.

Young actress Storm Reid stars as Meg Murry, with an all-star cast of adult actors backing her up, including the cosmic trio of Oprah Winfrey as Mrs. During her presentation at D23, she described the movie as "a family story wrapped in an epic adventure, where you see worlds you've never seen before". "I saw so many different kinds of people and personalities in it".

Kaling, whose character speaks only in riddles and famous quotes, discussed the challenge of such scholarly dialogue: "As someone who is a chatterbox, I thought that was actually very challenging". I think I quote JAY-Z in the movie?
