The biggest hit of Ed Sheeran's career just got even bigger, as "Shape of You" is now officially the most-streamed song in the United Kingdom, ever!

Canadian rapper Drake previously held the title with infectious club banger One Dance, featuring Wizkid and Kyla. Sheeran's third album "Divide" is the biggest selling album of the year, while "Shape of you" has surpassed a staggering 184 million streams since its release in January. The track has been downloaded 717,000 times and has a combined sales figure of 2.6m.

As expected, Sheeran dominates the most-streamed albums chart with his third album, Divide, notching up a combined sales figure of more than two million since its release in March.

The Official Charts Company has unveiled its lists of the biggest selling albums and singles of 2017 and the flame-haired star has three top 10's in the biggest-selling song category.

Ed also has the second-best seller in the first six months of the year (17), Castle on the Hill, and his Irish-inspired ditty Galway Girl is 2017's fourth most popular song so far.

Ed Sheeran's smash hit Shape of You is now the U.K.'s most streamed track of all time.

The new number one artist won't come as a surprise to many.

They are followed by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" and Rag "n" Bone Man, which are in third and fifth place respectively.
