And another added: "Driving to work, and "Bridge over troubled water" Charity single comes on the radio.wow". The single's nearest rival, "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, is 40,000 copies behind.

Liam Payne and Jessie J were also among the artists who took part in the track, along with Brian May, James Arthur, Louis Tomlinson, Nile Rodgers and recent Britain's Got Talent victor Tokio Myers.

Performed by Artists For Grenfell - made up of more than 50 acts - it has been downloaded and streamed more than 120,000 times since its release on Wednesday.

Proceeds from sales of the song and extra donations will go to Artists for Grenfell, which was set up to support survivors and victims' families.

Robbie Williams arrives at Sarm music studio to record a charity single for the Grenfell Tower victims.

Last Wednesday, June 14th, a fire broke out at West London, England's Grenfell Tower, a residence building housing almost 600 people.

It took just three days to pull the record together and Cowell is very proud of what they have produced. Many others have been left homeless, although the United Kingdom government overnight announced that it had bought 68 apartments in a luxury development in the area that would be made available to survivors of the Grenfell fire.
