A man is being taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after police say he was shot Sunday afternoon.

It's unknown what the argument was about, said Capt. Nathaniel Davis, commander of the police criminal investigations division.

Paramedics transported McClure to a local hospital, where he died.

Davis said investigators were told some men were arguing and someone fired a gun. Police found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Others talked with police about what they witnessed.

Police responded to the Hungry Howie's Pizza on 5710 W. Gate City Boulevard at about 12:43 a.m. Saturday in reference to the shooting.

"We're trying to run down leads", Davis said.

Police want to talk to other witnesses.
