Adler and Kreisberg were co-showrunners for the first two seasons.

Queller and Rovner joined the series halfway through season one as co-executive producers.

The earlier report revealed that the promotions came after the departure of co-creator and co-showrunner Ali Adler. Andrew Kreisberg, who has served as a co-showrunner in both seasons, will remain with the series and be joined by two familiar faces who will share Adler's former role for Season 3 of the series. Unfortunately, the "Supergirl" pioneer had signed an overall deal with CBS TV Studios in early 2017. Or Queller and Rovner could opt to maintain the status quo. Queller's previous series credits include Felicity, Gilmore Girls and Gossip Girl. Rovner has got the high-stakes drama expertise locked down, withPrivate Practice, Crossing Jordan and Dallas on his resume. Kreisberg developed the series with Adler (who is moving back to CBS) and Arrow-verse runner Greg Berlanti. Having both talented behind-the-scene workers will heighten the standard of The CW series' this upcoming season.

It's possible Supergirl season 3 will mark a shift in tone with the leadership change.
