JK Rowling has been named the richest British celebrity in the world upon her return to Forbes' annual rich list following a three-year hiatus.

The partial sale of his clothing line, Sean John, was a big driver for Diddy, netting him $70 million when all was said and done. This year, Diddy stepped into the top spot on the list due to the $130 million that he pulled in over the past 365 days. She becomes the YOUNGEST member on the list.

Swift slipped from number one to 49th place on the list after her earnings dropped to $126 million in a year.

U.S. reality TV star Kylie Jenner has made her debut on the top 100 list in 59th place, having earned 41 million USA dollars (£32.4 million) at the age of 19.

U.S. "shock jock" and self-styled "king of all media" Howard Stern holds on to the seventh spot he occupied previous year.

Her earnings over the past 12 months, from June 1 2016 until June 1 2017, have been estimated by Forbes as 44 million dollars (£34.8 million).

Half of the top 10 are made up of musicians, while two athletes - Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and basketball star LeBron James - also make the cut. "Though there is one more woman on the ranking than past year, 2017's combined female payday is down from $892.5 million in 2016 (a fifth of which came from Taylor Swift)". Returnees, some of whom owe Netflix streaming for their salaries, include Adam Sandler, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock, who estimated US$20 million each for their Netflix specials.
