Allisha Gray finished her career as a member of the SC women's basketball team with a bang and she has started her professional career in the same way.

The six -foot-guard was named WNBA Rookie of the Month for her performance during games in May. She has started all five games for the Wings, leading WNBA rookies in scoring (13 points per game), rebounds (5) and minutes played (24.4) in the season's first month.

She was the fourth overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft and has scored in double figures in four of five games this season. The former University of SC standout scored in double figures four times, including a season-high 17 points in a 94-82 win over the San Antonio Stars on May 25.

In Dallas, Gray ranks 18th in the WNBA in field goal percentage, and is in the league's top 25 in scoring and rebounding. Kaela Davis, Gray's SC teammate, was taken in the first round (pick No. 10), as was Kentucky forward Evelyn Akhator (No. 3).
