A third reporter tried once more to corner Pruitt by pointing out that the EPA administrator should probably be able to tell the American people whether the president believes in climate change.

Germany's powerful auto industry said Europe would need to reassess its environmental standards to remain competitive after the "regrettable" USA decision. "In his post on Facebook, Gates said", I am deeply concerned with the decision to take our country out of the Paris Agreement". The Paris Agreement is a milestone of the ongoing UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which is committed to ongoing annual meetings to regularly revisit and ratchet up nations' climate goals, making them more ambitious over time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin joked on Friday about US President Donald Trump's decision to pull the US out of the Paris climate accord, the landmark worldwide agreement to limit climate change, saying Russia should be grateful to the US because it has been cold in Moscow.

India is committed to reduce the emissions intensity of its GDP by 33-35% by 2030 from 2005 levels and to base about 40% of its cumulative electric power installed capacity on non-fossil fuel based energy resources by 2030 with the help of transfer of technology and low-priced worldwide finance including from the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Instead, he vowed to keep ties with the US strong, and said Europe's links to the USA are more durable than the decisions of the current US administration. Our work and deeds are more important than empty words. "I know that's harsh, but it's just how I feel".

The U.S. will continue to be actively engaged in the development of global energy and the world leader in the development of next generation technology, Perry said, adding that he's traveling to Japan and China to discuss the benefits of all forms of energy, including nuclear, fossil, liquid natural gas and renewables, as well as the technological advances such as carbon capture.
