The "Fall Creators Update" was one of the big announcements to come out of Microsoft Build developers conference in Seattle on Thursday. Well, Cortana will be prompting you to continue working on-the-go when you actually switch to your mobile device.

Another upcoming feature will let you start working on a document on a Windows 10 PC and pick up where you left off on a rival phone.

The Fall Updates includes Fluent Design System for building user interfaces across devices. "For developers, Fluent Design is built to help you create more expressive and engaging apps that work across a wide range of device and input diversity".

Last month's Windows 10 Creators update is still fresh on hundreds of millions of devices, but Microsoft is already touting new capabilities that will arrive with the next update of the operating system this fall. Confusingly, Microsoft has made a decision to keep a very similar name for the forthcoming update.

Microsoft said that Windows 10 is now powering more than 500 million devices.

"Access all your files in the cloud without having to download them and use storage space on your device", he said.

A brand new fluent design which was codenamed as Project Neon earlier will be part of this Creators Update.

However, having iTunes on the Windows Store is going to make the entire process a whole lot easier for some users. "Story Remix uses AI and deep learning to organize and transform your photos and videos into stories", Myerson said.

VR compatibility: The update will bring compatibility with Microsoft's new Windows Mixed Reality headset and motion controllers.

"Files On-Demand also allows you to open online files from within desktop or Windows store apps using the Windows file picker", explained Jeff Teper, corporate vice president of Office, OneDrive and SharePoint at Microsoft, in a separate blog post.
