Jennifer Lawrence looks terrifying in her new movie role

Little is known about the film's plot, other than a couple's relationship will be tested when they encounter uninvited guests at their home.

As for Mother!, we can figure from the poster that Javier Bardem will star alongside Lawrence, possibly having to deal with her freshly-dislodged organs.

While many celebrities were celebrating or wishing their moms a happy Mother's Day, Darren Aronofsky had a slightly different take on the yearly occasion. No further details have been released as yet.

Mother! will be Aronofsky's first film since 2014's Noah, which was a relatively successful biblical epic, earning over $350 million worldwide.

As you'd expect from the director who gave us Black Swan, the film looks uncomfortably chilling.

It's called Mother! and it'll be out this October. Which might point to the idea that themes of sex, celebrity and politics are heavily involved, but, again, who knows.

Aronofsky has said that the film will be a hard horror story about an unwanted houseguest, which seems pretty clear now given this poster.
