Selena Gomez has debuted her brand new single Bad Liar and it may sound a little familiar to music experts. And the whole thing is built around the bassline from the Talking Heads' classic 1977 single "Psycho Killer".

"Bad Liar" was written by Gomez with help from Justin Tranter, and Julia Michaels, whose own single "Issues" is now in the Top 20 on the Hot 100. Reports claim that the 24-year-old didn't even have plans to get in the studio so soon after leaving rehab, but The Weeknd has inspired her to start working again.

Despite Bad Liar looking as though it's going to be another smash hit for the singer, Selena recently admitted that she would be fine if her fame disappeared. "She credits her fresh, sexy romance with making her feel healthier and more alive than ever before", the source said. "It was like a starting place, then it just felt so good, it became the thing". "I get that from my mother", she said during an interview with Humans of NY.

'So singing is not how I define myself, ' she added. "I try to keep my identity rooted in friendships and my faith". The interviewee left a rather harsh comment on the Selena Gomez promo photo: "I did not see anything worrying about this bracelet until I discovered the bandage on her wrist. picture trying to say?".

She continued by saying: "We wanted to do it justice and, yeah, [the backlash is] gonna come no matter what".
