Arsenal want to sign Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar this summer to begin their squad revamp, according to reports in the British media.

Arsenal now sit in fifth position in the Premier League, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.

The Mirror also link Arsenal with another summer signing, adding that Arsenal are confident of "landing prized Schalke and Bosnia left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer".

The Mirror on Thursday believe they know who Arsenal's top summer target is.

Lemar only arrived at the club two years ago, after beginning his career with fellow Ligue 1 side Caen.

Wenger has admitted in the past he likes him and was interested before he even joined Monaco - although his price-tag is now likely to be well in excess of £25million.

Lemar, who debuted for France a year ago, has been outstanding for Monaco this season.

Monaco want to keep their young team together at least for another season, but an offer in-excess of £25million could tempt the French club into selling their France global.

Monaco are going to do well to keep their squad together following a sensational season but the Mirror suggest they could cash-in on Lemar if £25m is put on the table this summer.

Lemar has excelled with Monaco this season, as the French principality side edge closer towards Ligue 1 glory and overachieved in the Champions League where they fell at the semi-final stage to Italian giants Juventus.

The Frenchman has scored 14 goals and has 13 assists to his name so far this season and Monaco would not want to lose any of their young players after such a strong season.
