U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan is back in his home state. He's also set to tour Prestige Paints in Delavan, the hometown of Gov. Scott Walker.

When pressed by Wisconsin reporters about the warning to Comey, Ryan turned to an often-invoked strategy he uses whenever asked about an inflammatory comment made by Trump on Twitter. "The law is collapsing".

Some 200 to 250 people attended the forum, said Breit, who has considered running against Ryan as a Democrat.

Ryan was in Delavan Friday touring Geneva Supply.

"I can control my actions, my comments and that's why I think it's just important to lead with example", Speaker Ryan said.

"Insurers say it takes about two years to build new plans for new marketplaces", Ryan said.

On Saturday, Ryan is slated to speak at the Wisconsin Republican Convention in Wisconsin Dells. However, Ryan says he hasn't shared the same advice with Trump.

In a visit to a garbage disposal manufacturer, Ryan said cutting taxes would better position manufacturers, such as Emerson's InSinkErator, to compete globally.

"No one is disputing the fact the President can hire or fire an FBI Director", Ryan said. Those are the things that I got elected to do.

The Janesville Republican said the key thing is to get tax reform on Congress' plate. So I'm working on making sure that we make good on our promises and fix people's problems.

- If he would hold town hall meetings with constituents. Friday, the speaker acknowledged that he has chose to speak to constituents in different ways through telephone town halls and events at local businesses like Prestige Paints.

- Said he has been talking to local banks that tell him they can't make the loans they want to make because of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

Trump has criticized Ryan, and many others, through tweets both as a candidate and as president. Remember, Obama said if you like your plan you can keep it? Ryan says the methods and sources of intelligence gathering must be protected.

"As speaker of the House, he has the responsibility to move the moral compass of this country", Palmer said.
