Since it is the tenth anniversary of the Apple iPhone, a revolutionary device with outstanding features is expected from Apple. In reality, the iPhone 8 - or "iPhone Edition", as Apple may call it - will reportedly feature a stainless steel mid-section sandwiched by a glass face and glass back.

According to "9to5Mac" that it is likely to be delayed due to delayed production of some parts such as 3D camera sensor on the iPhone 8.

As per the patent Apple filed at United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the new-age face detection technology can capture a depth map and an image of a scene, and select one or more locations in the image to test for presence of human faces. Lenovo Phab2 Pro is the only device now available with Google Tango, Slash Gear reported.

"According to a report by DigiTimes, there might be a lag of several months for the new iPhone's delivery", said Dorian Terral, an analyst for brokerage Bryan Garnier. The design has no home button since the company is expected to integrate the TouchID fingerprint sensor underneath the display.

This feature can also be utilised to play Augmented Reality (AR) games on the device, wherein the owners can project themselves as the protagonists featuring a 3D image of their own face.

They show the iPhone with an "edge-to-edge" display, however, still retain the chin and forehead in some form but is much smaller than what it now is.

The Apple iPhone 8 will come with an OLED screen and this is the first time Apple is moving away from LCD screens.

There are speculations that iPhone 8 will have a virtual functional area, wireless charging, facial recognition technology and water resistance. There are still too many technological barriers in the way, however, and the new iPhone 8 will seemingly look like a mashup of the iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and Galaxy S8.
